How to create and run the Hiren's BootCD

he Hiren's BootCD has many features including the removing or bypassing of a windows password, using mini xp and linux modes, virus removal tools and disk and backup utilities, all of which run at start-up. More information and a complete list of all the utilities on the 'Hiren's BootCD 13.1' can be found on this website: http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd The download website used in this video is: http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download.html This CD is functional with windows NT/2000/XP/Vista/7 and linux (but not Mac). Types of CDs that I have tested (with success): CD Re-Writable (700mb) and DVD+R (4.7gb). If your computer does not boot from the CD automatically, then you will need to enter the boot selection menu and choose the one that has either 'CD', 'CDROM' or DVDRAM (or something similar) in its name to boot from the CD, like shown in the video above. The key on your keyboard that you have to press to get to the boot selection menu varies depending on your computer. The key on my computer is F8 but it may be different on yours. The key for your computer is often shown at the bottom of the first screen that appears when you turn on your computer; something like: Press 'F8' to enter boot menu. You may also need to change the boot order in the bios so that your computer trys to boot from the CD before the hard disk (operating system). Click here or below for my tutorial on how to do this.
