Nano-SIM Cards For Apple iPhone 5 – All You Need To Know

Apple iPhone 5 will sport a never seen before design, with much smaller rooms for external devices and ports like charging dock, SIM card slot, which is made possible by introducing Nano-SIM cards. All is good with these Nano-SIM cards, but here is what we feel is odd. What if you damage your iPhone 5 and then want to use some other smartphone? There are no other devices which will support Nano-SIM card, so this means you would have to keep switching SIM cards once you stop using iPhone 5.
Chosen by European Telecommunications Standards Institute as a standard SIM card last month, we are expecting more and more devices to adapt to Nano-SIM technology in the coming time. However, the whole concept is not really being appreciated by Nokia, Motorola and Research which have been in constant debate with Apple on the issue of Nano-SIMs.

Today, a new report has surfaced across the web, claiming that Apple is issuing its partners with Nano-SIM adapters, so that they can test the efficiency of these SIM cards, before they finally introduce it in their upcoming iPhone 5 which is expected to be released anytime in this fall.

“Multiple carrier sources have exclusively told BGR that Apple is supplying nano SIM adapters so its carrier partners can test how nano SIMs work on their networks in standard test devices before they are widely deployed when the new iPhone is introduced.

This includes AT&T.“

Also, new reports regarding iPhone 5′s hardware changes has surfaced this morning. Apple iPhone 5 is expected to have 1GB RAM, 4G and LTE support, NFC and many other unknown changes. We have heard that Apple is changing the backplate of this device, introducing a LiquidMetal technology, however no such reports have surfaced in these recent days.

If things plan out as they are being said, Apple’s iPhone 5 will be the first device to sport a Nano-SIM technology. We are eagerly waiting to get our hands on some more information.
